Mfe gets new traditional ruler
I do so swear that I will lead the people of Mfe according to their wishes. The fon of Mfe village has officially taken function
HRH CHEPNDA Ronald was on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, officially installed to his function as the new traditional ruler of Mfe village in Nwa subdivision, Donga Mantung Division in the North West region.
The Senior Divisional Officer for Donga Mantung, Nkenti Simon Ndoh oversaw the installation rites.
HRH CHEPNDA Ronald was overwhelmingly chosen by the population of Mfe on December 30, 2021 following the disappearance of the previous ruler, HRH Senator Dykx Menten Alim Kumbongsi II, in March 2021.
His Majesty CHEPNDA Ronald who doubles as a teacher is the 13th Fon since the creation of the Chiefdom of Mfe.
The new ruler has the task to rule more than 10,000 population from the 5 quarters that make up Mfe village ( Mbori, Mbindze, Mback, Nkwack and Ndzegong)
During the installation ceremony, the SDO acknowledged that Mfe village is one of the villages in Nwa subdivision that has witnessed relative calmness in the crisis that has rocked North West and South West regions. He also called on the newly coronated traditional authority to maintain this peaceful atmosphere.
SDO Nkwenti Simon also used the opportunity to congratulate the people of Nwa subdivision for their commitment to religious practices, brilliant performances in the Mount Cameroon race of hope, and their participation in nation-building.
