Mbouda: Young mother dies mysteriously
A 23 year old mother and her baby have allegedly died of food poisoning in Mbouda in the Bamboutos division of the West region.
Online reports say the young mother went to the village to stay with her boyfriend’s mother as ordered by her partner, irrespective of the deceased woman’s negative reports about this man’s mother.
The victim who was living in Yaounde with her boyfriend, travelled to Mbouda to give birth under the care of her to-be mother in-law. Only, one month after delivery the lady and her baby were found lifeless this August 15 2022. Neighbours have pointed accusing fingers at the to-be mother in-law whom they say had been very harsh to the girl and her baby.
The mother who allegedly confessed having poisoned the meal she served the girl that night, has been remanded in custody in Mbouda pending investigations
