Mbeumo’s situation is bad – Brentford coach
The injury which Bryan Mbeumo had on Wednesday against Brighton, will sideline him for weeks, Brentford coach Thomas Frank has said.
He indicated that “it is bad” expressing concern over a possible prolonged absence.
The Cameroonian had scored the opening goal from the spot, in the 2-1 loss to Brighton before limping off in the 40th minute.
“Bryan’s injury is a clear one – it’s bad luck. He got caught, got pushed and rolled his ankle. It’s very frustrating” coach Thomas Frank said
“It is bad. I don’t know how bad. A scan later but we don’t have the exact number of weeks. We’ll know more in the next couple of days” the coach added.
Bryan Mbeumo is one of Cameroon’s key players. His absence from the AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire would be a great loss for the Lions. However, the time his recovery may take, is yet to be determined.
