Indomitable Lions play goalless draw against Namibia as Marc Brys remains unbeaten
The Indomitable Lions pulled a 0-0 tie against Namibia on day five of the AFCON qualifiers in Johannesburg on Wednesday, November 13, which also counted as Marc Brys’ seventh game — undefeated, as head coach of the Indomitable Lions.
Despite the draw, Cameroon maintained their position at the top of Group J with 11 points.
Marc Brys has so far recorded four wins and three draws since taking charge of the national team seven months ago.
The victories recorded by the Belgian include his 4-1 debut against Cape Verde in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, 4-1 win over Kenya, and 1-0 defeats over Namibia and Kenya in their first legs of the AFCON qualifiers. Brys recorded a 1-1 draw against Angola in the World Cup qualifiers, and zero-all ties against Zimbabwe and Namibia in the AFCON qualifiers.
The Indomitable Lions will host Zimbabwe in Yaounde on November 19, for their last qualifying match of the AFCON 2025. The Warriors, second in Group J with eight points, will be hoping to join Cameroon as qualified teams from the group.
