Man on the run after allegedly killing girlfriend in Kompina

Fai disappeared after Nadege, his girlfriend, was pronounced dead on Thursday, July 14, 2022.

Sources say the two are from Noni subdivision, North West region, and were living in Kompina, a locality in Mungo division, Littoral.

Their love has not been a bed of roses as Fai allegedly gets Nadege beaten regularly.

“Fai has been maltreating Nadege so much that she first left the relationship but came back after the boyfriend begged for forgiveness”

When Nadege returned, she was treated with brutality.

As she threatened to leave again, “Pretending that all was well, Fai bought roast fish, poisoned it, and gave Nadege. Immediately she ate the fish, stomach bite started which led to her death” a witness said.

Another witness said on her dying bed, the girl said, “Due to too much maltreatment from the boy she got scared and wanted to go back to her father’s house to continue learning a trade, so the boy was angry about it and removed a knife to stab her but people intervened. She then went back to the house, the boyfriend bought fish and allegedly poisoned it, came and gave the girl. Immediately she ate the fish, stomach bite started seriously and as she was screaming and started saying he has poisoned her, he immediately ran away,”

She died the next day.
