Man found dead after taking part in May 20th parade in Jakiri
Lukong Francis, a former English Literature teacher and ruling political party, CPDM member, has been found dead this May 29th morning.
He was one of the three people who marched past for the political party during May 20th celebrations in Jakiri, Bui division of Cameroon. At press hour, CNA can confirm that his mortal remains are still on the Jakiri – Mantum road where he was found.
It is alleged that he was forcefully taken away this May 28th night by suspected separatist fighters before being tortured and tied to the back of a motorcycle and dragged on the bumpy road until his death. Authorities are still expected on the scene for the body to be moved.
Francis Lukong was a teacher at the Government Bilingual High School Jakiri and was seen in between two persons marching under the CPDM banner on national unity day celebrated every May 20th, with a CPDM sash around his neck.
