Alcohol poisoning, a serious and sometimes fatal condition, occurs when a person drinks alcohol too quickly for their body to process it. Symptoms can include confusion, vomiting, seizures, slow breathing, and loss of consciousness, research says.
In severe cases, alcohol poisoning can lead to respiratory failure, coma, and death.
Experts advised that to prevent alcohol poisoning, it is important to drink alcohol in moderation and to avoid binge drinking. Binge drinking is defined as consuming large amounts of alcohol in a short period.
