Limbe City Council Deputy Mayor breaks silence on sexual harassment

The Deputy City Mayor of Limbe, Karen Tanga in one of her furious outings revealed that the present SG at the City Council has been sexually harassing her and that she has sent complaints right at the level of the Presidency, yet no one has said anything.

The embattled woman alleged that though the SG, Thompson Kinge has been preventing staff from taking orders from her, he comes behind to sexually harass her.

“This is the same person who has been sexually harassing me for a very long time and I have given complaints right to the Presidency,” she said in a video during which she sealed the mails office of the council.

Recently, Karen Tanga has been in a cold war with the City Council Mayor, Paul Efome Ngale. The latter in a 13-point letter warned the former of disrespecting him and going against the rules of the Council.

The husband of the Deputy City Mayor who has been accused of meddling in Council affairs was arrested on August 11, 2022.

But the alleged sexual harassment case has not seen the light of day since she reported the case. Sexual harassment cases are taken seriously by organizations and worst still, in public institutions.

Thompson Kinge has not commented on the allegations.
