LANACOME workers on strike for unpaid salaries
Workers of the National Drug Quality Control and Valuation Laboratory, LANACOME have embarked on a strike action due to unpaid salaries.
The workers say they have not been paid for four months and their families are starving. With the rising cost of living observed across sectors, they say they have been become beggars in their own country although they have jobs. Among other worries, the non-payment of subventions and other shares they say they have a right to are mentioned.
Signboards were put up at the LANACOME headquarters early this July 20th on which the workers call on the Minister of Public Health, Manaouda Malachie to come to their rescue.
The workers also declare that the strike action will continue indefinitely unless they receive what they are owed. The Director General of the structure, Dr Rose Ngono Mballa is yet to say anything about this.
