Kupe-Muanengouba road will be rehabilitated soon- Ministry

Koupe-Muanengouba Division in the South West Region is one of the most enclaved Divisions in Cameroon. But yearly, budgets are made to rehabilitate some parts of the road.
This year, the Ministry of Public Works announced a sum of FCFA 195 million will be disbursed for the construction and rehabilitation of some major roads in the municipality.
The information is contained in a note published by the communication department of the Ministry, on February 23, 2024.
The said amount is expected to be administered amongst different councils to effectively execute the different projects.
Fund attribution
CNA learned that the Bangem council will receive CFA 65 million for the construction of a commercial Road which will link the farm to market road.
CFA 65 million has been allocated to Nguti Council to carry on maintenance work on the road linking Etawang to Banyue.
Tombel council was also allocated CFA 65 million to open up a new farm-to-market road from Ngab to Ndumei-Swene.
According to the information provided by the Ministry, it is still unclear when the different projects will take steam. However, the population of Kupe-Muanengouba was unfailingly assured of the rehabilitation of their roads soonest. Could this be another campaign promise? Some of the people wondered.
