Kamto: CRM did not mess up but sacrificed for Cameroonians
Following the boycott of the last legislative and municipal elections in Cameroon by the Cameroon Renaissance Movement (CRM) party, many members and supporters of the CRM party said Prof. Maurice Kamto messed up big time by choosing not to go in for the elections in order to gain sure parliamentary seats and run councils in the country. These people accuse Prof. Maurice Kamto of frustrating his supporters who bore risks and aspired to become Senators, MPs and Mayors.
While in Nkongsamba, Moungo Division of the Littoral region recently to install newly elected bureau members in a tense gathering provoked by the presence of security forces deployed, Prof. Maurice Kamto clarified that it was a great sacrifice the party made because its top priority is the wellbeing of every Cameroonian:
“That is the greatest sacrifice a political party can ever make and because of the concern and love we have for the people, we decided to sacrifice these legislative and municipal seats by boycotting the elections in order to fight for change and the wellbeing of Cameroonians drowned in suffering by the Biya regime. We had the capability of winning those elections,” Prof. Maurice Kamto explained.
The CRM President said he is not disturbed by the negative opinions or statements of certain Cameroonians on that boycott:
“Every political party has tactics it applies on the field.”
According to Prof. Kamto, 2025 will be a rosy year for the entire CRM party and its supporters:
“We will be running for the 2025 presidential election in Cameroon to win and because we have learned a lesson from all the struggles in which we engaged, we will win. This is because we will be more than the number that rallied behind the CRM party during the last presidential election,” Kamto stressed.
He called on Cameroonians to mobilize ahead of 2025 not only to make shiver the party of flames whose leader termed the CRM “a tiny” party, but to overthrow it completely and bring the desired change in the Republic of Cameroon.
