Joint MINESUP, MINSANTE release announces order in health training

A release creating order in paramedical training following a meeting between the Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education(MINESUP), Prof. Jacque Fame Ndongo, and the Minister of Public Health (MINSANTE), Dr. Manaouda Malachie was issued August 16 in Yaounde.

The meeting also had in attendance the president of the National Paramedical Council and the Executive Secretary of the National Association of Private Institutions of Learning. Top on it’s three point agenda was the registration of holders of professional health degrees, BTS, HND, DSEP, HPD into the Paramedical Council.

The conclave resolved that, the above trainings will have a readjustment in the upcoming 2024/2025 academic year, before obtaining a State Diploma from MINSANTE. The release stated that, those already in training will take to completion following the existing modalities.

But nonetheless indicated, they will sit for an aptitude test in October. To be organised by MINSANTE and the National Council of Paramedical Professionals for admission therefrom. Unsuccessful candidates shall go in for some additional training and sit for a certification exam organised by MINSANTE, they further agreed.

The health training stakeholders also issued the creation and operation of a training program for paramedical engineers which is currently absent across Cameroon
