Ivorian midfielder who ply his professional football trade in Beijing Enterprises, in China Cheick Tiote, 30, has died,his agent has confirmed.
”It is with deep sadness that I confirm that my client Cheick Tiote sadly passed away earlier today after collapsing in training with his club Beijing Enterprises,” said Emanuele Palladino. Tiote collapsed and died during a training session.
Cheick Ismaël Tioté who won the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations with the Ivory Coast national team was reportedly rushed to hospital on Monday.
He won 2 caps for his country. While with Newcastle in England,he score just once in a memorable 4-4 draw against Arsenal.The Ivorian midfielder made 156 appearances for Newcastle after signing from Dutch club FC Twente for £3.5 million in 2010.
The man who weight 86kg was born in 1986. He got married in 2014 to Laeticia Doukrou.
