Indomitable Lions left-back, Nouhou apologizes after punching airport agent
It was on June 10, 2022, at the Yaounde Nsimalen international airport in the night when the car transporting the Seattle Sounders player arrived in a barricaded area.
A CCTV Camera shows an agent explaining to them that they could not use that road because it is a restricted area.
After a few minutes, the defender descended the car and threw some weak punches at the airport agent, removing his cap and face mask.
But after the video was released, Nouhou has now apologized for his actions.
In a Facebook post, he admitted that he didn’t handle the situation and he should have, ” What happened is the result of a total misunderstanding due to the passage of the vehicle at that place. I recognize that I did not have sufficient control over my emotions. I ask for forgiveness.” He said.
The apology was also directed to every football stakeholder including his present club,
“I bitterly regret that this unfortunate incident occurred and I present my sincere apologies once again to the agent of the Yaoundé International Airport and to all his colleagues. I apologize to the fans of the Lions, to the Cameroonian Football Federation whose image has been tarnished, and to my employer club Seattle Sounders. I am Cameroonian and proud of it, long live Cameroon our beautiful country, long live the Indomitable Lions.”
