Indomitable Lions: Clinton Njie Persona Non Grata?
Yaoundé, Cameroon-Friday August 25, 2017-1:30 PM Local Time (Cameroon News Agency) Though injured in a match with Olympic Marseille in France at the 40th minutes, Clinton Njie has been out of the Lion’s den since they won the 2017 AFCON in Gabon.
Pundits hold that even if Clinton was in good form, Mr Broos would still sideline him despite the fact that he is now doing well with his club.
Hugo Broos has left out the young star out of the den insisting that if he wants to succeed in football, he needs to be humble and have respect for superiors and work harder.
He is reported to have snubbed former Lion, Albert Roger Milla while in Gabon.
The headcoach has published the names of players called to take on Nigerian on September 1 and 4 in a World Cup Qualifying round.
Amongst the 23 is Fabrice Olinga and Eric Choupo Moting making their come back.
A total of seven players who did not take part in the 2017 AFCON have been enlisted.
