HTTC Buea to go operational soon

Admissions will soon begin at the newly created Higher Teachers Training College (HTTC) Buea, following an installation of appointed academic and other administrative staff of the institution which is under the University of Buea. They were installed into their respective functions on November 1, 2024.
The installed included the deputy Director of the newly created Higher Teachers Training College (HTTC) Buea, head of studies, heads of division, and heads of department. The appointments made by the Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education were described by the UB Vice Chancellor to be based on merit and hardwork.
Those who had been appointed into the newly created HTTC Buea, the VC profiled had for the most, experience from HTTTC Kumba. He went on to announce that the Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education will in the days ahead give go ahead for admission to commence.
“You’ll be instrumental in mapping out strategies, supporting staff and nurturing an environment od intellectual vigor,” Prof Ngomo Horace usaid. he further warned, especially those put into the newly created institution of the stakes involved and commending them to result oriented work.
The UB VC told them, “we don’t want any rambling in the new establishment which will later affect the functioning of the entire university. You are expected to lead with clarity, purpose and compassion; continue to meet the evolving needs of our staff and students.” HTTC Buea was created by presidential decree No.2024/166 of 24 May 2024.
The installed head of Division- Business Unit at the office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor incharge of Research and Cooperation with the Business World was elated. “I’m happy and thankful to the authorities of the University of Buea who found me worthy for this appointment,” reacted Dr Stephen Ndode. To Dr Stephen Ndode, it is a privilege to rise the ranks of the institution as a graduate of the same.
As the frenzy and merry making of the installation wades of, the newly installed officials have issues waiting their address with a sense of innovation as the 2024/2025 academic year just commenced.
