Animal rights group launches global campaign to ban dog and cat meat trade

In a press statement, the Coalition For Cruelty Free Africa in collaboration with Liberia Animal Welfare and Conservation Society, said the campaign was launched to have launched a “Stop Animal Cruelty and to STOP the spread of DEADLY”
The group also revealed in the release which CNA obtained that they have placed billboards across Africa and other Nations calling for a “Global BAN on the Barbaric Dog and Cat meat trade and Live Animal Markets in particular in China Africa SE Asia.”
“Dogs and Cats are Family Not food they are loyal companion animals. The World Health Organisation WARNS that the Trade Slaughter and Eating of Dogs and Cats CAUSES DEADLY RISKS to Human Health from diseases trichinellosis cholera rabies.” The statement noted.
This campaign is internationally supported by other Animal Protection organisations Soi Dog, Candy Hound Rescue, Global Justice For Greyhounds and all Dogs and The Coalition of African Animal Welfare Organisation, Ghana Society for the Protection & Care of Animals , Saintmark’s Animal Nigerian Hospital as well.
