Boyo: Government forces injured in IED trap
Elements of the Support and Command Battalion of the North West region say June 17, 2022, was almost getting sour on their side but fate decided otherwise.
They were on their way to Mbingo, Boyo division when they noticed trees and big rocks had been used to block the road. It took hours for them to cut down the tree trunks and remove the stones on the road but that was far from being their greatest problem.
The team discovered an improvised explosive device had been buried on the Njinikom entrance bridge and attempted to deactivate it but two elements, unfortunately, got slightly injured in the process.
Both have been taken to the military hospital in Bamenda and are expected to recover soon.
