By Nukapuh P.

Philemon Yang, Coordinator of the North West CPDM Central Committee has called on potential voters of the political party in the upcoming senatorial election to believe in the party and not listen to distractions from opposition parties.

Yang was speaking Saturday February 25, 2023 in Bamenda during the regional launch of the 2023 senatorial election campaign for the North West region.

“Winning on 12 March will be an icing on the cake. We have to work hard and win by respecting the rules and regulations of the elections. Also respect the party guidelines,” Yang said.

Yang also reminded the militants that winning all the 7 seats in the North West region for CPDM will boost their preparations to also win the 2025 presidential election.

“Every election is a risky exercise for the CPDM and her militants. Do not act as if you have won the election already.”

Philemon Yang also told the senatorial candidates that winning will be an opportunity for them to work for the return of peace and security in the region.

“The senatorial election is about our future because we must promote peace especially in this region.”

The launching ceremony which took place in the presence of North West Governor, Adolphe Lele and other CPDM political party members was to set the ground ready for campaigns, as it was revealed that campaign materials and voters’ cards are all ready.

After the launching ceremony, militants of the party then held 7 different meetings per division wherein they discussed how to cast their votes in favor of their candidates.
