Gendarme-led gang of armed robbers, dismantled in the West Region

A gang of armed robbers led by a gendarme officer was dismantled in the Upper Plateaux division of the West thanks to a joint operation by the Company Commander of the Baham Legion and the Brigade commander of Bangou.
The gang members, Yannick, Fogem Hugues Roméo, Mfoko Mohamed, Kanou Nganou Rodrigue, and Ibrahim Njoya, all ex-convicts, had been operating in Foumbot, Mbouda, Bangangte, Bafoussam for a long time before meeting their waterloo.

Security sources revealed that the gang was led by a gendarme officer, Lt Wang Abdel Aziz, who had been supplying them with arms. The same source also revealed that Lt Wang had also taken part in 2 robbery operations with his service arm.
The suspects have been detained at the Baham Company Brigade meantime Lt Wang has been disarmed under instructions of the West region’s Gendarme commander and a State Attorney.
