The big fight between Ukranian boxer Usyk Oleksandr and WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury fixed for December 23, will take place at a later date, the Gypsy King’s promoter Frank Warren has confirmed.

“It will go ahead but it will not be on the 23rd. It was crazy for some people to suggest that it could still go ahead on the 23rd” Warren said on Sunday.

The toughness of the fight against Francis Ngannou on Saturday, was unexpected.

“He can box. Ngannou was much better than people expected him to be” Fury’s promoter conceded.

Usyk who watched the Riyadh fight is insisting he wants his match against Fury maintained on December 23.

The WBO, WBA and IBF heavyweight says their signed agreement has to be respected. However, the fight is likely to come up in February, towards the end of the Riyadh season under which it has to be staged.
