French President welcome with IED explosive in capital Yaounde?

The Damas neighborhood was at the theatre of operation as locals ran for their lives. A plastic bag allegedly containing an explosive device was discovered beside the road.

The bag resembles the one that went off at the Mokolo market two weeks ago, a source said.

The vigilance of an onlooker caused the people to alert security forces. They had seen the strange plastic, and the atmosphere became tense.

Security arrived at the scene but discovered that it was a false alert, another source said.

This comes just a few hours before the arrival of the 7th French President to Cameroon, Emmanuel Macron.

In less than one month, three explosives have been dropped in the capital city but the authors remained unknown.
