Foumbot: Six human bone traffickers arrested
Five suspected human bone traffickers with ages between 20 and 26 have been arrested by elements of the Foumbot Gendarmerie Brigade in the Noun Division, West Region of Cameroon.
The suspects were presented to the public alongside a bag containing human bones they dug out at a grave yard in the neighborhood popularly known as Hausa quarter.
Gendarmes arrested them in the process of selling the bones thanks to a tipoff from an informant. This allowed the Foumbot Brigade Commander, Zeng Edou Rosny to pretend to be a potential buyer. He approached the main suspect and booked an appointment in a hotel to seal the deal. Unfortunately for the prime suspect, this meeting led to his arrest.
Interrogated, he revealed the names and whereabouts of the five other accomplices, leading to their arrest.
The suspects took the gendarme officials to the graveyard where they dug out the bones confirmed to be those of a woman.
The suspects are in trial.
