Former ISHOSA Coach hospitalized after assault: witness speak out

Former head coach of Isles of Hope Football Academy, ISOHSA , Nlend Ayme is currently receiving medical attention at a local hospital in Limbe, South West region, after he was brutally beaten by individuals claiming to members of the Rapid Intervention Battalion, BIR.
The incident occurred while Coach Nlend was enjoying a soccer match on Sunday evening with his colleagues at a bar in Middle Farms, CNA gathered from witnesses.
His colleague, Coach Ayissi, who was present during the event, spoke with CNA over a phone call and provided details on what occurred.
He stated that Coach Nlend, along with Coach Bana, Coach Motto, and the team manager of ISOHSA, were watching the match between Guinea and Equatorial Guinea at ‘Meet Me at George’ bar when an unknown man entered in a drunken state and began to insult them.
According to Coach Ayissi, the man attacked ISOHSA’S team Manager, and when Coach Nlend stepped in to break up the fight, four other individuals dressed in civilian clothes but believed to be BIR, joined in the attack and beat Coach Nlend severely.
The motive behind the attack is currently unknown, but locals speculate it could be due to a misunderstanding or personal vendetta.
Police authorities are conducting an investigation into the incident to determine the identity of the attackers and bring them to justice.
