Flames ravage bakery and apartment in Bepanda

Wild flames have ravaged the entire content of an apartment and a bakery that recently opened in the Bepanda Omnisport neighborhood, precisely in Monaco.

The fire broke out at about 2:25pm on September 11 in the bakery before extending to the nearby apartment, reducing it to ashes.

“I had complained of this Bakery in this neighborhood but nobody listened. The owner regarded me as a nuisance to his business. See what it has caused today. The matter will end in court and he will pay for the damages and losses I have incurred” a victime laments.

Other surrounding houses were slightly affected thanks to the intervention of fire fighters.

“We thank the fire fighters who did their best to arrive here to assist the population quench the ravaging flames, preventing it from propagating. Though they came a little bit late, we can’t really blame them because it’s a Sunday and worse of it the Bepanda Omnisport -Camtel stretch of road is extremely bad.” A local said.

Though no life was lost, enormous material damage was recorded especially on the part of the bakery owner. All the Bakery machines estimated to cost millions of FCFA were completely destroyed. It took about two hours for the fire fighters to contain the flames.
Locals said the fire was certainly provoked by an electrical fault in the bakery but the firefighting unit has not made any declarations.
