Fecafoot: Njalla Quan let loose the tail
“I have brought up the plight of the people I represent on several occasions to the President, but they have all fallen on deaf ears,” Henry Njalla Quan Jr said.
LIMBE: The Proprietor of the Limbe-based Njalla Quan Sports Academy who also doubles as 4th vice President of the Cameroon Football Federation, Fecafoot, has written an open letter to FIFA, CAF and especially the Cameroon government to quickly come to the rescue of Cameroon football.
“Football which is supposed to unite us is rather causing one of the biggest divisions in our beloved Cameroon which is dealing with sociopolitical conflicts on multiple fronts,” wrote Njalla Quan Jr. According to Mr. Njalla Quan Jr, “football in Cameroon is in the darkest phase ever in stark contrast to the hopes and aspirations of the election of 11th December 2022”.
He also revealed that he has on countless occasions brought up the issue of threats of life, discrimination, absolute disregard, inhumane treatment, and many more from employees, executives, and other stakeholders despite being one of the vice presidents of the Cameroon football federation to the Fecafoot boss Samuel Eto’o Fils.
But that “to my greatest shock and dismay, (the president) has done absolutely nothing to address these issues”. With regards to anglophone representation in Fecafoot, Henry Njalla Quan Jr said “I have been drawing the attention of the President of the executive committee of Fecafoot behind the scenes on the plights of the people whom I represent as well as other key issues affecting our football”, but “this seems to have however fallen persistently on dear ears”.
The Fecafoot vice president has vowed he will not step down from his post.
