MP of Buea Rural, Hon Emilia Lifaka Drops Dead

The death has been announced of the member of Parliament, Vice Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon. Lifaka Emilia Monjowa, a senior journalist from Fako confirmed to CNA.

MP for Buea Rural died on Tuesday night, April 20, 2021 in Limbe.

Just three days after celebrating her birthday in pomp and pageantry, she collapsed on Tuesday morning and was rushed to the Limbe regional hospital. She is said to have come out of a comma, spoke with her family but later developed another malaise that took her life.

Honorable Emilia Monjowa Lifaka has been a political giant and the only female politician from the southwest region with a consistent presence on the political scene making strides in whatever she does.

However, not everyone had her in their good books. The reorganisation of basic organs of the ruling CPDM party and or choosing candidates for elections has always put her at daggers-drawn with other Fako elites.
