Family Mourns Child Who Drowned in Stream.
A family in Banengo West region is in agony following the shocking and untimely death of their son, Chris.
Chris was carried away by runoff during a rainfall in the town of Bafoussam.
“Chris was playing outside. He was throwing his slippers in the runoff and running to get it back alongside his peers. At one point the runoff transported the slippers into a stream. His elder brother and sister jumped into the stream to recuperate the slippers while he was standing on the bridge. They later got out and returned to the bridge but could not find their junior brother who had entered in the stream to follow them”. Ariane Guifo, the child’s mother narrated in tears.
A search was initiated after the other children returned home and reported Chris’ disappearance.
The thorough search that lasted for hours only resulted to the discovery of the little boy’s lifeless body.
Chris who was schooling in Yaounde was on holidays with his parents in Banengo in Bafoussam I sub-division.
Over the weekend, two children on holidays died mysteriously in Bafenga village in Baminssinge, Bamboutos Division of the West region. Autopsies conducted revealed they were sexual abused before being killed mysteriously by an unknown person.
