Fame Ndongo says CPDM not ashamed of massive success

Minister of Higher Education and Communication Secretary of the CPDM Central Committee, Jacques Fame Ndongo, has said the ruling party is succeeding in the country because of hard work and the “genius” factor of the party’s leader President Paul Biya.

Fame Ndongo was guest on CRTV’s flagship French language programme, Actualites Hebdo, of Sunday, March 25th, hosted by Romuald Ntchuisseu Ngock. They discussed this year’s senatorial election in Cameroon, and how the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) swept all seats.

The Minister said their increased success is because of their achievements in the country.

“There is national democracy, which is an irreversible accomplishment, as well as progress in the economic, technological, socio-cultural domains…the list is long. All of this is thanks to the President of the Republic who is a genius in politics,” Minister Fame Ndongo said.

He added that they won’t be ashamed of what they have worked hard for:

“A student who sweeps all prizes in a school, should he be ashamed of his success?” the Minister asked.

“That is what the CPDM is doing. While others are on the internet, we are in the field. A demonstration of our efficiency. The success we have is because of our intelligence. It needs hard work and we do the work.”

Following the proclamation of results for the seventy senators elected on March 12 across the country, a list of thirty more members of the upper house of parliament is awaited from the President of the Republic. The law requires that he makes the appointments, not more than ten days from the date the results of the polls for the seventy others, are officially proclaimed.
