Eto’o’s alma mater KSA demoted to sub-divisional league

By Biwah Bryan

Kadji Sports Academy (KSA), a renowned academy that trained Samuel Eto’o, Stéphane Mbia, and Benjamin Moukandjo among others has been relegated from the Littoral Regional League to the sub-divisional league

This decision was made by the Homologation and Discipline Commission of the Littoral Regional League after KSA failed to participate in their 5th, 6th, and 7th regional league matches.

The Commission identified that during the league, KSA consistently failed to meet the required minimum number of players for their first four games due to lack of license, which caused the referee to suspend play on several occasions

On May 21, 2024, KSA’s president requested the suspension of the club’s matches until the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) issued all necessary licenses for their players

But the Secretary General of the Littoral Regional Football League duly scheduled KSA’s fixtures, even though the club was unable to participate in the sixth and seventh matches despite the president’s request.

As a result, KSA has been relegated and has faced general forfeiture in the ongoing league. Additionally, the club’s president, Mr. KADJI Gilbert, has been suspended from all football activities for five years, including membership to any club’s governing board. A fine of FCFA 5,000,000 has been imposed on the club.
