Edea: student cut with machete after argument with friend
Saoudouma Bell Abdou, a student in Terminale (Upper Sixth) at the Government High School in Ossombah, Edea, is in excruciating pain after he was struck on the head and wrist with a machete.
A neigbour called Pierre Mapouna, at the Hausa quarter in Edea, is said to have perpetrated the act.
He allegedly attacked the student who had challenged him for making embarrassing remarks about him.
“It is said that the aggressor spoke badly about Saoudouma, so he was asking why he had to speak about him. That’s just what caused the confrontation,” Laminou, representative of the quarter head revealed.
“Pierre, the aggressor, asked Saoudouma what gave him the guts to ask him such a question, and that’s how he attacked him,” he added.
Speaking from his sick bed at the Delangue district hospital in Edea, the victim said the pain is unbearable.
“On my wrist, I bled because when the machete was used. It cut the veins which enable me to move my fingers” Saoudouma explained.
“If I get help and intensive care, I believe it can be fine,” the victim added.
Saoudouma’s attacker is still on the run. He disappeared after committing the act.
