Douala: Woman ran over by truck
The woman died after a 70-seater bus crushed her on Saturday September 9, 2023, just at the tunnel entry from Dangoté towards Rond Point Deido.
The woman was on board a motorbike. She fell off as the biker negotiated a bend to avoid an incomimg car.
The woman was ran over by the 70-seater-bus that was only about 5 metres behind them.
The bike rider who was transporting her, rode off.
The army rescue unit, gendarme and police elements arrived the scene after being informed.
The woman’s corpse was later deposited in the morgue.
Witnesses say the biker had applied brakes to avoid the shock right in front of him which was good, but the rough acceleration within 2 seconds to avoid any shock with the 70-seater bus close behind him, threw the woman down.
It should be noted her body was pulled from beneath the bus.
