Van Dijk not happy with Onana for “time-wasting” at Anfield

Liverpool’s 0-0 draw against Manchester United on Sunday, left the Reds’ captain, Virgil Van Dijk frustrated that he confronted Andre Onana for being the cause.

He aired his frustrations to the goalkeeper in the tunnel after the match, reports indicate. “Because of you we only played a half-hour game” Van Dijk is quoted to have said.

He pointed out during the post match interview that “there was only one team trying to win the game”.

“We want to win every game of course and that’s why it’s frustrating.” The draw led to Liverpool’s drop from the first spot in the League standings.

“It is frustrating because we were superior in all aspects. In the end, they are buzzing with a point, and we are disappointed with a point” the centre-back said.

Andre Onana made eight saves during the match while Allison on the other hand was tested just once.
