CYPRUS: Two Cameroonians kill woman during robbery, Police arrest suspects
Police in Cyprus have arrested several persons suspected of killing the manager of a foreign exchange office, and the mother of a young daughter, during a robbery.
One of the Cameroonians, a former BIR soldier, and his accomplices have since fled the scene. The Cypriot police engaged in investigations to find the two men claiming that no Cameroonian national has left the country either by air or across the border since the murder was committed. According to the police, this means that the Cameroonian duo are hiding in Cypriot territory.
Several people suspected of being accomplices in the case have been arrested- among the two is a 31-year-old Cameroonian.
The two Cameroonians are Tchomte Vinel and Kwalar Bryan.
The body of Ayça Alav, 45 was discovered at her place of work named HİT BİT, a crypto exchange company located on Mevlevi Tekke Street in the Lefkosia city center, at around 9:00 pm on Friday, December 22, 2023, reports confirmed.
Police said they were found to have helped the murder suspects escape from the scene. They were taken to court on Saturday on charges of intentional murder and robbery, Olomo reported.
