CRM excludes Barrister Tamfu from Directorate for ‘attacking’ its national president
The president of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement CRM party, Maurice Kamto has reportedly excluded Barrister Tamfu Richard, from the National Directorate of the Party for insubordination, CNA learned that this was done verbally.
This was a resolution taken during a meeting chaired by the party’s President Maurice Kamto on June 7, 2023.
He was accused amongst other issues of “ attacking his age” and openly supporting another candidate to run as president. He was also removed from the party’s communication team and warned that he would be brought before the Disciplinary Board for “failures to comply with the duty of reserve and loyalty”.
Michèle Ndoki reacting to this stated that the CRM does not belong to a particular person and reaffirms her stand to run as president.
“No exclusion, no intimidation maneuver, no concert boycott operation, no looting of a shop during the night, no artist assault, no denigration campaign on social networks will prevent this. This party does not belong to Maurice Kamto, “Maurice Kamto is NOT the MRC, the MRC is NOT Maurice Kamto. It’s not his thing that he has as he sees fit… All my support for Tamfu Richard. We stay up and move forward,” she wrote on her Twitter handle.
It should be noted that an elective CRM congress has been scheduled for November 4, 2023. The said congress will lead the election of a new president, and Michèle Ndoki is the only candidate declared against Maurice Kamto.
