Court dismisses filed cases against SDF
The Court of First Instance in Yaounde has dismissed two cases brought before its jurisdiction by renegades of the Social Democratic Front, SDF, who tagged themselves as G27+, the National Communication Secretary no 3, of the party, Kejang Henry revealed that their Secretary General, Barrister Adeline Lord Djomgang announced on Thursday, October 19, 2023.
According to the court, they are incompetent to handle the case as it is an internal issue.
“It is an internal issue that concerns a political party, and that they should address their worry within” the court is quoted to have said.
The self-tagged G27+ is known to have dragged the party to court demanding the annulment of the late Chairman’s, Ni John Fru NDI’s, decision to appoint members of the shadow cabinet and some members of the national executive committee.
The Court of First Instance Yaounde however, can only suspend the case and not cancel. Meanwhile, the competence to cancel the case resides with the Mfoundi High Court which G27 + had asked to cancel the convention.
When the former Chairman was alive, the party used Article 8.2 to dismiss the dissidents who had gathered in the West region to bring down the leadership of the party. Hon. Jean Michel Nintcheu, a string grassroots militant and leader of the SDF in Littoral was among the outlawed barons.
