Coton Sport shamefully exits CAF champions league without a point

Cameroon’s lone representative at the Confederation of Africa Football, CAF champions league, Coton Sport of Garoua have exit the competition after poor performance.
The Coton Weavers failed to qualify for the next stage, after their 2-1 defeat from Mamelondi Sundowns of South Africa on Saturday April 1.
With a total of 6 matches played, Coton Sport was beaten home and away in all, as they came back with 0 point in group B.
Many say the current Cameroon Cup champions have drastically lost form even at the level of the elite one championship, where they used to top.
In the elite one championship, Coton Sport has played 15 matches this season, winning 6, drawing 5 and losing 4 as they are currently 4th on the unofficial classification table in group A with 23 points. Meanwhile UMS of Loum tops the group with 33 points after match day 17.
The club has been recently going through some hard times. Before their last CAF champions league game in South Africa, coach Gabriel Hamman was replaced by Jean Baptiste Bisseck.
After failing to win 3 matches as compelled by management, Gabriel was shown the exit door and appointed technical adviser to the Coton Sport academy. Meanwhile coach Jean Baptiste was defeated in his first test in South Africa.
Coton Sports will now bounce back in the elite one championship with the hope of winning more games as the football season will soon end.
