Corpse of business man discovered in pool of blood

The lifeless body of a Malian national has been discovered in the “Hary” neighborhood in the Douala III sub-division.

The deceased business man, Samake Kari, 40 years of age, according to local sources was stabbed several times to death by his unidentified attackers.

Beside his remains were knives and a cutlass allegedly used by the escaped hoodlums to terminate his life.

It is reported the dealer in scrap metals failed paying dues to some young men as a new comer in the neighbourhood. These youths considered him to be a stubborn fly that should be dealt with.

They allegedly planned and assassinated the business man earlier this week after sales. Investigations by police reveal he had generated the sum of over F CFA1.4 million from sales the day before his attack. When his body was discovered in the pool of blood, this money was not found on him.

It was then some onlookers recounted Kamake was not in good terms with some youths in the neighborhood who had demanded that the deceased should pay a new-comer tax.

In the course of police investigations, some suspects were arrested for questioning.
