Communication boss says Mokolo explosion was an attack
Communication minister Rene Emmanuel Sadi has confirmed rumors that the July 2nd explosion which took place in the Mokolo market, Yaounde, was a terrorist attack.

In a communique, Sadi explains that search teams deployed to the explosion site found three batteries, balls made of lead, a detonator, a switch and all were put in an aluminium box carefully concealed in a plastic bag. The explosion which was remotely provoked fortunately left none dead but four persons were injured. Two of them, Mondi Simon and Yerima Rosalie, are still under intensive medical care while the other two have returned to their homes.
The minister also has used the opportunity to call on all Cameroonians to be more vigilant and report any suspicious actions around them to save lives. An investigation has been opened.
The explosion talked about occured on saaturday July 2nd in the Mokolo market of Yaounde, precisely opposite the Numerica micro-finance agency which is just a few hundred metres away for a police station.
