Chantal Biya international cycling tour
Algerian cyclist, Mansouri Islam has won the first lap of the Chantal Biya international cycling tour which began this October 3rd with a closed circuit in the town of Garoua.
The current holder of the yellow jersey covered the 99,2km distance in 2h28’39” giving a 34-second gap to his followers. The first Cameroonian to cross the finishing line was Kamzong Abossolo ranked fourth.
The second lap takes place this October 5th as from 11 am from Yaounde through Ngounou and Ngomedzap covering a distance of 86,9 km.
Cameroon Cup 2022 final, man of the match award
Souaibou Marou of Coton Sports of Garoua was on October 3rd handed the sum of FCFA 2 million as man of the match of the Cameroon Cup 2022 final.
He was the lone scorer against Bamboutos FC at the 61st edition of the final of the Cameroon Cup.
The league one championship for the 2022-2023 begins in the days ahead. 6 regions out of ten in the country will be represented. The Centre region with 8 clubs, will be the most represented region at the championship this upcoming season.
The North West has two representatives – PWD and Yong Sports Academy. The Littoral has 5 and the West 4.
Women’s Handball Africa Cup of Nations, Senegal 2022
The Cameroon Handball Federation has made public a list of 19 players pre-selected to take part in a training camp that begins on Thursday October 6, 2022.
The camp falls in line with preparations of the Africa Nations Cup that will be played in Senegal from November 9-19, 2022.
Cameroon is in group C of the tournament with host Senegal.
