Coalition For Cruelty Free Africa (CFCFA) has stepped up the Global campaigns, urging and lobbying the African Governments, the African Union, and governments of all nations to support these ongoing worldwide awareness campaigns. A series of billboards has been placed across Africa and SEASIA, with the latest ones in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, in Ghana.
‘Dogs and Cats are Family, not food.
The World Health Organisation WARNS that the Trade Slaughter and Eating of Dogs and Cats CAUSES DEADLY RISKS to Human Health from diseases trichinellosis, cholera rabies, which are killing Animals and People.
CFCFA, in collaboration with major international animal protection organisations, strongly condemns and is calling to END the barbaric Dog and Cat Meat Trade and Animal Sacrifices that are taking place every day in countries across Africa, especially in Ghana, Uganda, Togo, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Zambia, Tanzania, and Congo.
The Brutal Dog and cat meat trade is not only in Africa but also in China, Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, India, and Southeast Asia.
This horrific animal abuse continues despite increasing global opposition and awareness. Particularly during the summer months, in Yulin in China, Africa, Regions in Ghana, Evala in Togo, Ogun in Nigeria, and Boknal in Korea witnessing a tragic surge in mass slaughter of dogs, cats, and other animals for consumption and barbaric animal sacrifices.
These suffering animals are captured by Criminal Animal traffickers, Dog Cat Meat Traders who are stealing Animals in Communities, family pets, strays, and wildlife, and using them to scam the public and commit horrific methods of torture, including animals being torn apart while still alive for human consumption.
China is another country involved in these barbarities as the world’s largest dog and cat meat trade, with Dogs and cats TORTURED, SLAUGHTERED each year, resulting in the increasing spread of Fatal Diseases and the Death of Animals and People.
Investigations have exposed an epidemic of Dog and Cat thefts from devastated families, Pet owners.
Although there is a Ban on the Dog and Cat Meat Trade in Korea, the sickening Boknal still goes ahead with countless dogs being slaughtered.
Nigeria is the third-largest consumer of dog meat globally. Mass slaughter at Ogun, where innocent animals are sacrificed in brutal, outdated practices, still happens despite growing heavy opposition and protests by compassionate Nigerians and Africans who are demanding an end to these barbaric practices.
Togo continues to exploit tourists in the guise of Evala, where countless animals are slaughtered in the name of so-called culture. The recent adoption of the “One Health” agreement at the World Health Assembly 78 emphasised the importance and crucial link between human and animal health and the need to stop the exploitation, consumption, and killing of Animals and treat them with care and compassion.
Focusing on eating plant-based food for increased good health and the safety of global public health.
We are urging the global and local communities to help and stop these Animal Abusers and Protect and Care for their Animals, which will improve not only the lives of Animals but also the lives of People and their Children, their Health, and their Communities.
CFCFA, alongside other global organisations, is calling on all Nations to outlaw the Dog and Cat meat trade and Animal Sacrifices. Take immediate action to stop Animal traffickers and to implement and enforce strict Animal protection laws.
Together, we stand Globally United Against Animal Cruelty and Disease and uphold global standards of health, compassion, humanity, and ethical responsibility
