CAS postpones judgement day on Eto’o case

The Court of Arbitration for Sports, CAS, has postponed its ruling date on the Eto’o Fils case.

The rules governing the Cameroon Football Federation say that such a condemnation while at the helm of the fedretaion automatically make the person illegible. This is the idea former FECAFOOT executive member Guibai Gatama has been pushing forward.

Weeks ago, information surfaced on the internet that sports minister Narcisse Mouelle Kombi had reported Eto’o Fils to FIFA asking that he be removed forecefully from his position at FECAFOOT. A few hours after the information surfaced, the communication unit of the said ministry published a communique formerly refuting these allegations.

The executive body of the federation have however come out to say that Samuel Eto’o Fils remains president of FECAFOOT and if ever this were to change, it would be in an orderly manner.

CAS was supposed to give a verdict this July 31st but has now postponed this to August 31st.
