Cameroonian community in Angola mobilises support for Indomitable Lions

Cameroonians based in Angola, have gathered in Luanda to rally behind the Indomitable Lions as they face the Palancas Negras in the day four FIFA World Cup qualifier on Tuesday, June 11.

The President of the Cameroonian community in the country, Jean Marie Kengne, told Cameroonians to feel “at home”. He said they started mobilising support for the national team from the time the Lions arrived in Luanda on Sunday.

The supporters expressed confidence in the national team. “Victory is already confirmed,” the optimistic fans said, indicating that buses and other logistic arrangements have been made.

The match against Angola in the 48,500-seater November 11th Stadium, will be a chance for the Indomitable Lions to consolidate their lead in group D of the World Cup Qualifiers. Cameroon lead with 7 points with goal advantage ahead of second-placed Libya.

The Lions thrashed Cape Verde in Yaounde three days ago in a 4-1 defeat. The Cape Verdeans are fourth with four points, while Angola come third with five points in the six-team group that also includes Mauritius and Eswatini.
