Sports: North West elite clubs register above average results

Day 20 matches of the league one championship were played over the weekend with PWD Social Club of Bamenda making a temporal step out of the relegation zone. The Abakwa boys played succeeded to grab a point as they played a 1-1 draw with Eding in Yaounde. The team is now ranked 9th in group A with 17 points and 4 games left. Among the 4 games left, one will oppose them to Canon of Yaounde and the other to Coton Sports of Garoua on match days 21 and 22 respectively.

The Yellow submarines of Bamenda on their part, defeated Fauve Azur 1-0 in their last home game this season, that was played at the Mbouda Arena stadium thanks to an 83rd-minute strike from Nchindo. YOSA still ranks 9th in group B with 21 points and 2 games left. Their two remaining games will be played respectively against red zone occupants YAFOOT in Yaounde and Astres in Douala.

Bamboutos FC on their part confirmed their superiority after thrashing Dragon 3-0 at the Mbouda Arena stadium thanks to a hat-trick from Kemadjou to maintain their lead in group B with 33 points. The striker in this way leads the topscorers chart with 11 goals, just one ahead of Canon striker Emmanuel Mahop. The Mangwa Boys are on 3 consecutive victories since the arrival of Yves Clément Arroga as Head Coach. They have three games left and one against Gazelle in Garoua on April 16 that promises to be epic.
