Cameroon Government Pushes DWB to Suspend Activities
After months of witch-hunting, administrative suspension in the Northwest region, arrest, and detention of their employees in December, Doctors Without Borders has decided to suspend its activities in the South West region. The International NGO that has been helping war victims leaves a huge void as the conflict persists.
DWB has said all accusations of them working for Ambazonia separatists are false. This has made their relationship with the government difficult.
The DWB will no longer continue to provide ambulance services, respond to SOS, or support private or government health facilities.
But they will continue to give health assistance to patients under their care until they are healed.
