Cameroon customs happy with money in so far

As of July 2022, 489 billion fcfa had been collected by the Cameroon customs across the national territory. A relative increase compared to 469.6 billion collected during the same period last year.

Going by the directorate general of customs, 76 billion fcfa was collected in July 2022 thanks to the effective collaboration of 5 customs sectors. The Littoral gave 144.1%, South 141%, South West 130%, Littoral 103.4% and Centre 100.3%.

The Cameroon customs since 2021, has introduced different programmes to fight fraud, contraband and illicit trade via the operations Halcomi, Stop II, Cripharm and Thunder. Also, eight customs sectors have been created in the Littoral 1 and 2, South 2, North, Centre, East, South West and West regions to intensify checks at various levels.
