Bui Division: Whereabouts of 7 arrested in Nkum unknown

Bui Division in the North West region has been the centre of attacks and counterattacks perpetrated by the belligerents fighting in the ongoing armed conflict in North West and South West regions.

In one of the operations, Government and Amabzonia forces clashed in Yelum village under Nkum Subdivision. The casualties were not known but seven civilians accused of knowing the whereabouts of AMbazonia forces were arrested in Yelum.

The whereabouts of these civilians, six men, and one woman, remain unknown.

Truckloads with soldiers have been sent Bui, villagers counted more than 10 entering on Saturday to give assistance to their colleagues who have been battling on several fronts.

Early Sunday, the Nkeshum gendarmerie brigade near Mbiame was set on fire by Ambazonia forces. Based on intelligence, the occupants of the brigade fled before the attack.
