Bui Division: Husband, wife and baby killed by government forces in a raid

In an operation to trap down separatist fighters in Ndu, Nkum, and Jakiri subdivisions in the North West region, government forces embarked on a night journey to some villages in these areas. In Nkum subdivision under the Bui Division, elements of the Rapid Intervention Battalion attacked the Kuvlu and Takov villages.

They broke into houses and shot randomly around 3 am on Friday, September 2, 2022.

In Kah, one of the neighborhoods, one man, his wife, and their less than one-year-old child were killed in the operation, sources have told CNA.

The attack in Nkum also extended to Luh village under Ndu subdivision, where government forces fired gunshots around the Catholic School, the market, towards Ngaki and Bondi areas.
