Botafogo FC President suspended amid sexual misconduct scandal
DOUALA, Cameroon (CNA) — Sexual abuse and misconduct within Cameroonian football has resurfaced with a scandal involving the president of regional league club Botafogo FC of Douala. Chatue Nitcheu Josue was caught on camera naked and holding lubricant while demanding his players sodomize him.
This incident sheds light on the ongoing issue of forced unnatural sexual relations in Cameroonian football and brings back memories of past cases, such as the Female Division 2 championship scandal and the Coton Sport incident.
In response, the president of the Littoral Regional League has temporarily suspended Chatue Nitcheu Josue from all football-related activities. This action follows Josue’s inappropriate conduct, which was captured in a pornographic video.
The suspension will remain in effect until the Ethics Commission of the Cameroonian Football Federation completes a thorough investigation into the case.
