Biya appoints Dr. Kingsley Che, Director of Yaounde Gynaeco-Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital
Doctor Kingsley Che Soh, Regional Delegate of Public Health for the North West region has been appointed as Director General of the Yaounde Gynaeco-Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital.
He was appointed by Presidential decree this Monday November 25, 2024 in replacement of Professor Enow Robinson Mbu, who has been at the helm of the hospital since February 2021.
Doctor Kingsley Che is noted to have contributed a lot in the North West health section during the past years.
Noted for his devotion to serve humanity, Doctor Kingsley Che accompanied by his collaborators in May 2020, disinfected and handed several covid-19 equipment to hospitals in Santa, and travellers at the Matezen way-in to the North West region when the disease became a surge.
In 2021, Doctor Kingsley Che facilitated the installation of eight hemodialysis machines at the Bamenda Regional Hospital. These machines were not available for years at the hospital, forcing hemodialysis patients to travel to Bafoussam for medical attention.
Doctor Kingsley Che is also noted to have championed the coming of the Universal Health Coverage in the North West region, as the region is among the seven, where the health voucher scheme is being implemented for the moment.
